Hello,

I would very much like to see interoperability-type session(s) become a
regular event at the T3UC as well. With results openly published afterwards.
I believe this would help TTCN3 and the community in many ways.

Perhaps, eventually, this could lead the way to a maintained set of
documentation and best practices about how to write tests that are also as
widely runnable as reasonably possible, how to construct codecs and adapters
that can be hooked up with different tools with minimum effort, and so on.

I feel such a session would best deliver most benefit to community
if arranged with an informative, inclusive and constructive approach, rather
than comparative and/or competitive.

Regards,

Petri

Dear TTCN-3 community,

We would like to get your input in order to make the most of T3UC.
Please answer the questions below - it will take some minutes only. Your
answers and ideas are highly appreciated:

- T3UC should have experience report sessions - yes/no
Yes.
Your comments (optional): Experience reports are the core
of a user conference.

- T3UC should have tool sessions - yes/no
Yes.
Your comments (optional): Commercial and open source
(freeware) tools should be included.

- T3UC should have work-in-progress sessions - yes/no
No.
Your comments (optional): Work in progress is of little
interest to practitioners.

- T3UC should have research work sessions - yes/no
Yes.
Your comments (optional): Research sessions are a very
valuable addition to experience reports. They reflect the future direction
of TTCN-3 and testing.

- T3UC should have tutorials - yes/no
Yes.
Your comments (optional): Can we have advanced and
introductions in parallel?

- T3UC should have a vendors booth/posters - yes/no
Yes.
Your comments (optional): This is an opportunity for
users and vendors alike to come together and experience new features.

- T3UC should produce proceedings (as a collection of papers) - yes/no
No.
Your comments (optional): Proceedings take a long time to
appear. This should be a user conference and the material should be up to
date.

- T3UC should have a panel - yes/no
Maybe.
Topic of the panel (optional): Interoperability of tools.

Your comments (optional): Standardization is an approach
to achieve interoperabilty. How good is it today? Ask some users about
their experience.

- T3UC should have a TTCN-3 standard (latest news) session - yes/no
Yes.
Your comments (optional): The standard is updated
