I was confused for the questions for a long time: Can we initiate one MTC or PTC for multi-testcases in one module?

In my test, the TTCN case increase speedily and cause the regression test effort become bigger and bigger, I am looking for some way to reduce the effort, Can we initiate the similar MTC/PTCs for cases in the same module? I think it can help to reduce the case run effort.

Hi Jason

I think the best is grouping the testcases and executing them in
multi-instance mode, you need to take care of SUT interface to support the
same. In multi-instace model, activate the testcases & params by passing
the same as module parameters and run the multi-instances with the help of
virtual IP's incases of scokets.

This way you can also perform load & performace testing !!!

Hello,

In the additional language package /Configuration & Deployment/ there is a
concept of a /static configuration/ where the same mtc can be used from the
control part for multiple testcases. However, I'm not sure exactly if it also
allows this also for the ptcs created by the mtc. Also, I don't know if any
tool actually implements this feature, yet.
