TOPIC: More editorial notes for standard

More editorial notes for standard 17 Jan 2003 16:11 #6353

Hi,

Please find attched more notes. I see v.2.2.2 is coming so I suppose it is the last good time to add my own doubts quickly. I hope they are not on th living list yet.
Sorry for the cases where I can be wrong. Everything strange I put on the list.

1.
23.3.0 General
Description of figures 12 and 13 is identical:
"Illustration of blocking procedure-based communication"
The second description /for fig. 13/ should be for "non-blocking procedure-based communication".

2.
23.2.3.0 General
Note description:
"NOTE: The note to clause 22.2.2.0 is also valid for the trigger operation."
There should be correction from 22.2.2.0 to 23.2.2.0?

3.
Table B.1: List of TTCN-3 pattern metacharacters
Descriptions for metacharacters "\t", "\n", "\r" are all done for appropraite "C0 control character". I guess there may be appropriate codes for HT, LF and CR inserted from the referenced standard. I do not have ISO 6429. I just only found that "C0 control character" means not "C0" hexadecimal code of character, but name of "C0 Control Character Set"
Is it possible to insert here appropriate codes, e.g.:
09H - HT
0AH - LF
0DH - CR
and modify description a little bit?
I ask because I am not familar with C0 set and in the current position I expect hexadecimal code of HT, LF or CR character.

4.
Table A.3: List of TTCN-3 terminals which are reserved words
Keyword 'Modulepar' should be lowercased and moved after 'module' keyword.

5.
Table 19: Overview of TTCN-3 timer operations
Keywords "Start, Stop, Read" should be lowercased.

6.
23.2.2.0
EXAMPLE 2 description
Last sentence
MyPort.receive(MyTemplate:{5, MyVarOne}) -> value MyVarTwo sender MyPeer;

// The received message value is stored in MyVar and the sender address is stored in MyPeer.
Should be:
// The received message value is stored in MyVarTwo and the sender address is stored in MyPeer.

Mariusz Kupiec
