TTCN-3 Core Language editors 18 Oct 2003 11:56 #6535

Hi all!

What TTCN-3 Core Language editors currently exists?

I am aware of the TTCN-3 emacs mode as a debian package, but
does any other, syntax highlighting TTCN-3 editing solutions
exist? Especially based on free / open source editors in
Windows and Linux?

Thanks!

Best regards,
Vesa-Matti

While the ttcn3-mode for Emacs comes with Debian GNU/Linux, it should
work without any problem on every OS Emacs runs on (Linux, all UNIX
and Windows flavours). If features not only syntax highlighting, but
auto-indentation (well, a bit buggy), and calling of an external
syntax checker. Both TTCN3Parser and ttthreeparser are supported,
because both come with Debian. Note, that Emacs also supports ASN.1,
C, C++, CORBA IDL, Forth, Java, Python, XML etc. what might be
relevant when implementing a test suite.

Cheers,

Hi Vesa-Matti!

If you are looking for free or open source I think you a pretty much limited to the one you mention. When it comes to other software I know of the TAU/Tester solution from Telelogic which supports TTCN-3 syntax coloring/highlighting, ASN.1 dito, syntactical and semantical analysis and code generation according to TRI. I think you can download an evaluation copy from their support site.

Kindly

/Stefan

Hi,

we have a syntax highlight mode for nedit.
The nedit itself can be downloaded from www.nedit.org.
If you are interested I can send you the neditpattern file for TTCN-3 syntax
highlighting.

Best Regards,

TTCN-3 Core Language editors 20 Oct 2003 08:54 #6541

Hi,

Vim has a TTCN-3 syntax package (conforming to the 2003-02 spec). Vim
(www.vim.org) works nicely on both Linux and Windows.

Best regards,

Stefan Karlsson
