Hello

Should there be any rules or recommendations in the standard, or in a
separate note, how TTCN-3 modules are stored into files?

There seems to be some variation between the tools what they accept
and what they do not. This is not a problem if you work with one tool
by a certain provider. But if you would like pass copies of TTCN-3
code written with/for one tool to people that use another tool,
then this might cause extra work that could be avoided.

What could be recommended/required

Suffices for the files.

All the TTCN-3 tools would treat the files ending with certain
suffices as TTCN-3 core language files by default.

The number of modules per file.

Some tools understand only one module per file, while some
accept several. One has to split the multi module files into
several single module files to make them understandable by
certain tools.

File-name - module-name -relationship

Some tools require that the name of the file without the suffix
is identical to the name of the module it contains. So if you
have a file mymodule.t3, which contains module myModule, it
won't be accepted by certain tools since the case does not match.
