Hi all,

We need to test the our WLAN(Access Point) software on the wired medium
since the target hardware is not available.

I am just wondering that, can we use the TTCN tool as a simulator (on wired)
of wireless station (Mobile stations).

Following is the exact requirement.

<< Environment >>

Wired

AP(Software)<
>TTCN????

802.11 frames on wired

(Encapsulating 802.11 frames on 802.3)
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Dear Madhur,

apparently there is no reason why you should not be able to do this.

TTCN-3 makes no assumptions over which physical layer your message
exchange takes.
In fact, this is one of the great strengths.

The implementation of the communication means is done via the TTCN.3
Runtime Interfaces, the TRI, and to be more precise within the System
Adapter.

I hope this helps in you decision.

Looking forward for an experience report ;-)

Best regards,
Theo Vassiliou
