Hello,

I would like some information about (and help with) the actual
implementation and use of distributed ttcn-3 test systems.

So far, I understand that the Test System can be distributed among several
nodes: one TM and one CH entity, and (several) TE with SA, PA and CD located
on separated nodes. I understand that the CH is responsible for implementing
the distribution and communication between the distributed TS entities, and
the TM is in charge of the test management.

I know that there is one TE on which the test case is started and which is
responsible for the final verdict. I also know that the CH propagates
operations to the targeted components that reside in a different instance of
the same TE on different devices.
Now, my questions are.

-How is the distributed system started and by who? How do the different TE
(+ SA +PA + CD) get started and initialized, and by who?
My idea is that once a test case is started, i.e calling tciStartTestCase,
the tciExectueTestCaseReq (...,...) shall be called and should distribute
the call to tciExectueTestCase to all the TE's that participate in the test
and from them the exectuion will proceed.

Could you confirm that is the right approach?

- If there are any SA test specific settings, how would these settings be
forwarded to the participating TSs?


I haven't been able to find very much information about this, and any
suggestions for where to look would be much appreciated.
