TOPIC: Clarity of text in TTCN-3 Core Notation

Clarity of text in TTCN-3 Core Notation 12 Aug 2008 21:07 #7407

Hi Everyone,

Consistent test component type

Page 19: Section 5.2

What is meant by "consistent test component type"?

I believe that the intent was to use the word "compatible", instead of the
word "consistent".

Implied is a component which is extended. A component which 'inherits'
from another component type is compatible to the component it inherits from.

Consistent and compatible are not synonyms.

Cheers,

Claude.

PS: Should I submit a CR for this?
