TOPIC: Fun with TTCN-3 BNFs

Fun with TTCN-3 BNFs 15 Jan 2009 16:46 #7527

Dear TTCN-3 users and developers,

i've had a tool for a while that parses the BNF from the TTCN-3 standard
document (with minor preprocessing) and creates a syntax tree from it.
Today, i've changed it slightly to output a clickable reformatted html
version of the BNFs. I have taken the liberty to make these versions
available in the TRex wiki for all available TTCN-3 BNF versions.

Due to the nature of wikis, they follow changes and are able to display
changes in a graphical diff browser. I exploited this functionality and
created a wiki page that basically stores a raw reformatted text version
of each released version of the TTCN-3 BNF in the same page. That way,
you are able to display the differences between each available TTCN-3
version with colored markings regarding what parts have been removed,
changed, or added.

I can imagine there are people out there, especially tool developers,
who have use for this. I certainly could have used this a little sooner.

Best regards,
Benjamin Zeiss
