Hi Raul,
the idea behind this parameter was, to be able to implement a generic
test management implementation, that is able to offer different
information to the user. In this case for example to visualize the
required system ports.
Other examples for this motivation are
- tciGetModuleParameters
- tciGetTestCases
- tciGetTestCaseParameters
From a pure "execution" point of view this functions are not really
needed, as long as the information is somehow present in the test
management.
While our test management does not rely on the information passed via
this operations I could easily imagine an implementation that is
satisfied with this information only.
