TOPIC: tri interface in C

tri interface in C 21 Mar 2003 11:44 #6444

Hello

I'm looking into the "C" language tri interface "triMap" for
the CommunicationSA.
I have a question regarding the field BinaryString compInst
Should the data field contain the name of the component instance
or can we use a ptr to the component instance in this field.
If we use a ptr, shall bits indicate the length of the ptr ?

In the Java implementation getComonentId a string is used.
But if a string is used why is it defined as a BinaryString in the C
interface ?

6.3.2.3 TriComponentIdType
TriComponentIdType is mapped to the following interface:
// TRI IDL TriComponentIdType
package org.etsi.ttcn.tri;
public interface TriComponentId {
public String getComponentId(); //*******
public String getComponentTypeName();
public TriPortIdList getPortList();
public boolean equals(TriComponentId port);
}

Regards
Hans Petter

Hi,

again:
I guess it is worthwhile to mention for everyone that the proper forum for TRI related questions is the TRI mailing list: "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it."

Maybe ETSI could improve the guidance of people to that discussion list?

Moikka,
