TOPIC: Jumbo test casess

Jumbo test casess 09 May 2008 13:36 #7298

Hi Stephan and All

I had a short discussion with Stephan on the idea to have jumbo test
cases in the conformance test suites.

Here you have a concrete proposal this week from RAN5. It will happen
within 3G LTE ATSs.

My question to all of you, do we have any potential problems or advice
from your side of the methodology experts?

If there is something to be done, I'm happy to sit down with you to have
a meeting, or to have a conf call with you.

Hi Shicheng,

From the attached TD is was not clear to me what the jumbo test cases would be (I rather put aside my guesses here). So, I propose we should have a telco on this. The reason for the telco is, that STF 349 will have its next session in July, in ETSI but I think that both You and TF160 will have holiday at that time. So, we should clarify the requirement some when before our next session.

Pls. note, we a CR that to my feeling is similar to your requirement, CR 2143 Invoke test cases from/on test components. This would allow to call test cases from already running other test cases (in this case the system clause of the testcase would be ignored and the testcase call would be handled as a simple function call - but the technical details are not analysed and decided yet).

BR, Gyorgy

Hi,

if plans for a telco are converging, please let us know, too. We would
be pleased to respond to Shicheng question too, but feel the same way
like György. Before guessing lets talk about the idea!

Best regards,
Theo
