TOPIC: Creating threads in TTCN

Creating threads in TTCN 28 Apr 2010 12:16 #7655

Hi,

Anybody knows how to create threads in TTCN?

I want to open a TCP/IP connection and flood that connection with messages for measuring the performance. So I want to send the messages simultaneously on that connection.
Right now I am trying with PTCs but this being as linux processes I am not able to use the same TCP/IP connection in two different PTCs.

If anybody knows like how to create threads or have a better idea of doing same then please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Br.
Vishwa

Hi Vishwa,

I think your approach from TTCN-3 side is the right one. I think the
simplest thing would be to change your TTCN-3 adapter (TRI implementation)
that mappings from any PTC (or selected ones) are all sent via the same TCP
connection.

Stephan
