How can I read a file .txt or xml in TTCN3 ? 14 Jul 2013 01:44 #7824

Hello Everybody, My name is Juan Pablo Giron from Colombia, and this is my first Topic in this forum. Before i say excuse me for my poor English.

I am doing my last work, (thesis in SDL, TTCN3 and IF Validation), and right now i need read a file *.txt or *.xml which are the real data of the model, that is the parking lot.

I had brought the book "An introduction to TTCN3 Second Edition", but in that does not specify how read externals files.

Please if anyone have idea about how do it, that will be great!

Thank you,

From Cali-Colombia

Hello Juan,

you may access data files either via ports or external functions. For local files one solution is the definition of a new ext. function that need an implementation in the platform adaptor, too.

Axel thank you for your fast answer, I tell you that i am working in ttcn3 using RTDS ( Real Time Developer Studio) Because this software provide many features like modelling, testing and validation. I was reading some about platform adaptor to RTDS but i can not find information of how can i do it. If you have another idea i will thank you that,

Best Regards.

Hi Juan,

solutions are available from TTCN-3 tools, e.g. TTworkbench has plugins for FTP, XSD etc.: www.testingtech.com/products/ttplugins.php
