TOPIC: standard documents new release?

standard documents new release? 11 Feb 2004 11:48 #6619

Hello,

When is a new release of the TTCN3 standard docs planned (including
description all of accepted change requests)?

Can we access the list of open/accepted change requests?

Thanks,

Hi,

A mockup of the next edition of TTCN-3, together with the latest CR
status list, will be available in early March. This mockup addresses all
the Change Requests that do not add significant new functionality to the
language. I will inform this mailing list when the mockup and updated CR
list are available (and where to find them).

In the meantime you may like to visit:
www.etsi.org/ptcc/TTCN-3%20CR/ptccttcn3cr.htm
<www.etsi.org>

At present there remains a list of something like 10 CRs that request
the addition of new functionality (e.g., performance and real-time
issues). We (the TTCN-3 maintenance team) will address these outstanding
CRs in the period March - October 2004. A second mockup will be made
available in October. It is planned to have that document approved at
the October 2004 meeting of MTS which means, assuming the member vote
goes smoothly, we can expect official publication of edition three of
TTCN-3 in early 2005.

You may consider the mockups to be stable documents.

Regards,
Anthony Wiles
